“White Horse” at Iron Horse. I just returned from Iron Horse in White Fish, MT. where I participated in the Iron Horse Art Social and Auction. It was a fun few days. I stayed in someone’s beautiful home and met so many nice people. The whole area was so beautiful and green.I drove home through Glacier which is always magnificent!
Anyway, I had some fun and sold some art! One of the pieces I sold was this one “White Horse”, which is an oil, 20×20. I am starting a series of paintings of white horses, none of which will really be white. That’s the fun of it! It’s amazing what your eye tells your brain and how your mind adjusts that perception to be what you think it should be!
I am also the featured artist at Going to the Sun Gallery in Whitefish tomorrow night during the First Friday Art Walk. This is also the weekend of the Whitefish Art festival, so am heading back over there tomorrow. If you’re in the area please stop by!
Happy Fourth of July everyone!
I love this – very nicely done! I like the concept of the series too. 🙂
Congrats on being featured artist…..safe travels over there and back. Like the light in this one….
I love it. Best wishes for a success show this weekend.
Hey Laurabell,
I love this painting! Wonderful light, beautiful
simplicity in staging and composition.
