For the last three or four years, I’ve participated in a “Whodunnit” Fundraiser for the Art Association of Jackson Hole. This is a lively event as I understand it, orchestrated by a friend of ours who’s the Chairman of the Board.
Of course this subject is usually off limits to me, TABOO you might say, except when I’m painting for this event. Needless to say I have fun with this – just another copyist of the great … (I have to say that every time I do this, I learn something!) I will report that it sounds like my tipi paintings are a big hit, and people wait in line to buy them. Now if I could just be lucky enough to have lots of people waiting in line to buy paintings of my own subject matter!
Wapiti is an oil, 12×12.
They will be lined up this weekend!. Best to you and Tom.
Beautiful painting, just like the many others you post. Lucky collectors who own a piece of your artwork.
Wapiti tipi…love the play on words and the piece.. Good Job Laurie!!
Wonderful — on so many levels:) Sure it will be a huge hit! And your own subject matter deserves the same status:)
