I’m embarrassed to admit that this painting was the first I’ve ever painted on a linen canvas. Wow, did I love it! I’m happy with the final product, happy with the texture I got when playing with a palette knife. I need to paint that way more often. ” Summer’s Eve” was done from research I gathered at an artist’s rendezvous a few summers ago. These beautiful girls are Sioux. They had on different outfits of many colors, but I simplified to unify the image and make it a little more generic Plains. The painting is 36 x 36 and is available at Creighton Block Gallery in Big Sky, MT.
