I have a love/ hate relationship with these little guys. It’s mostly love of course, but in the summer they eat my drip watering lines, my hoses. I hate to think what they’ve done to the insulation under the bunkhouse….
But then, I also feed them during our winter storms, sledding alfalfa and pellets to five of their dens so they won’t starve when we have a lot of snow. This winter I’ve had to do that quite a few times. They also line up under the feed buckets in the corral, waiting for leftovers dropped by the horses. I actually took this picture a few weeks ago when they were in the corral, waiting for breakfast. It was a very cold, very snowy day. I don’t know quite how the painting became a summer nocturne. Wishful thinking maybe!
In another 4 -6 weeks, we’ll start seeing the cutest little baby bunnies everywhere! We will have lots of them!
Cottontail is an oil painting, 11 x 14.
Send some our way…ours have all disappeared. They are cute..but not in the spinach patch! Love the painting….
I am witness to all those little bunnies running around your house. You are such a good ward of the nature around you. P.s. my dogs like those little guys, also. They do get reprimanded for doing what they do….chase them!
