Ready for our room at the Out West Art Show will be this wine cabinet that Jack Lyons and I have done. Jack has made the gorgeous cabinet, a one of a kind piece, of alder. No particle board here! The sides are a patinaed, corrigated metal. There are hand carved and LED lighting details, and my painting, “Buck Up and Huck It!” That actually is the name of the whole piece, with a nod from Wylie Gustafson, whose song we were inspired by. We are hoping Wylie might come by our room at the show to have his pictures taken with the cabinet. We’ll have some wine from the cabinet to share with you Wylie!
In taking these pictures, I had to tweek them some to square them up for viewing, and in that some things still don’t look square here. No worries. The cabinet and painting are quite square. You’ll have to come and see it for yourself! “Buck Up and Huck It” is a substantial piece, approximately 7′ high by 42″ wide.
