I’m teaching a workshop called “Back to Basics – Considerations for Every Painter” at the C.M. Russell Museum, April 29 – May 1. This workshop will focus on the fundamentals necessary to execute a successful painting; composition, color direction and harmony, an awareness of form, value and edges, color intensity and temperature. The class will work both from still life set ups and your own landscape photos.
Value sketches will be done initially and then we will use a limited palette to start. We will progress to a more complicated palette.
